On Sunday, November 5, 2017 we offer butterflies in worship bearing the names of our beloved dead. The butterflies are put up around the chancel cross and remain there to the end of November – the end of the Christian Church Year.
We put them up to remind us that our loved ones are safe in the promise of the Lord Jesus Christ – the promise of resurrection to new life. They help remind us that we will one day share with them the unending heavenly feast at his table – by the grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Butterfly templates are available on the narthex table at church, or download a butterfly pattern here.
